COLORADD IS COMING TO THE INTERNET. IT IS A CODE TO HELP COLORBLIND USERS DISTINGUISH COLORS
Portuguese companies NOESIS and ColorADD have established a partnership aiming at helping colorblind users identify the colors when navigating in the Internet. Why is this important? Because all websites are designed with colors that colorblind users see differently.
There are many forms of colorblind, usually a genetic condition, in which the individual interprets the colors in a diferent way. The most usual example is the distinction between red and green, with clear implications on daily life. In traffic, for instances, to distinguish a green from a red lights, a person with this condition would focus on the position of the light instead of the color itself. Another example would be the clothes to wear. This is the challenge that ColorADD focuses on, and now brought one step further, to the Internet, with the support from NOESIS.
